Ive heard so many people think that others are out to get them, or being nasty, when in reality its more than likely that you have misinterpreted that communication OR that it has been miscommunicated. This doesn't just have to be verbal, body language says a lot too.

And emails. The full stop at the end of the sentence probably doesn't mean they hate you.
