When you leave your kitchen, are all of the cabinets and drawers left open? Are your dresser drawers open? Minor items left out instead of put away?
Our rooms and work-spaces are our minds. When we don't complete these minor tasks, it is often because we are already mentally onto the next thing, which is a strong sign of how we live our entire lives. Take the extra moment to complete the task. Close the door or drawer. Put the fork and pencil away. This develops a habit of slowing down and completing all tasks and thoughts, and will help with memory & stress. Your world will transition from one of chaos to one of order.
